UN Human Rights Day: IF launches resources about the project of sexuality

There is no better day than today, United Nations Human Rights Day, to celebrate the Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), adopted already 13 years ago. Today, we want to focus especially on 2 articles of the CRPD:

  • Article 8 – Awareness-raising, which establishes that immediate, effective and appropriate measures should be taken to combat stereotypes, prejudices and harmful practices relating to persons with disabilities
  • Article 25 Health, which aims to ensure that persons with disabilities have the right to the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health, including the area of sexual and reproductive health.

With regard to this, the IF Youth Group started a project on sexuality with a clear message: sexuality of persons with disabilities shouldn’t be a taboo! Today IF is very happy to launch two important items that consolidates the next steps within this project:
