REPORT ON ‘MY RIGHTS’ TRAINING IN ESTONIA

2 September 2019

2 September 2019 // At the end of August, the 4th edition of the training ‘MY RIGHTS: Independent living, activism and participation for young people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus’  took place in Tallinn, Estonia. Today, IF publishes its activity report which helps us to understand how the participants experienced the intensive training and how IF can improve the next edition.

This training is aimed to empower participants by making them aware of the importance of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Different practical exercises and dynamic presentations were prepared for the participants in order to create a space where they could practice their advocacy skills as well as discuss interesting topics such as independent living, sexuality or activism.

Thank you to all the trainers, participants, and to our Estonian member association for hosting the training in the beautiful surroundings of Tallinn!
