IF presents its Annual Report 2018

25 June 2019

19 June 2019 // IF is happy to announce that the IF General Assembly approved our Annual Report (AR) for the year 2018, featuring all of our activities and achievements of the past year, which were only made possible thanks to the collaboration and engagement of our members, partners and friends all over the world.

A special section of the document features the World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day 2018, the yearly day event dedicated to the SBH community. Last year it became a great success thanks to all of your testimonies and inspiring stories.

The AR also highlights an important project that we started at the end of 2018, focused on investigating body awareness and sexuality of people living with SBH. IF coordinated a group of youngsters with SBH to create a survey on this topic. After reviewing the results, IF discovered that many people were extremely engaged and interested to learn more. That’s why we aim to keep working on sexuality and body awareness for people with SBH in the upcoming years.

2018 has also been the first year of our new strategic plan that will guide our activities until 2022, which will have, among other things, a special focus on promoting the human rights of people living with SBH, supporting prevention initiatives, and building the IF membership and network.

To know more about our work in 2018 and our vision for the upcoming years, we invite you to read the full document.
