Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland is the only specialist charity in Scotland to provide a lifetime commitment of dedicated support services, training and projects for everyone affected by the conditions. The Association will provide help to families whenever they need it. From finding out that your pregnancy has been affected by spina bifida at the 20 week scan, to 3 months intensive support when your baby is born. From being at your side during your child’s first operations, to every stage in your child’s transition into adulthood. Through everything, the SBHS is there to provide the reassurance, advocacy, information and support at a time when families need it most.
Growing up with spina bifida, or any long term disability is a life long journey that brings many challenges.
One of the greatest strengths of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland has always been our capacity to adapt to the needs of our service users. We pride ourselves in being at the forefront of innovation and re-design of services, always taking the lead from our children, young people and families, who help us to shape our services.
We are delighted to provide a number of projects which you can see on the side drop down boxes or for further information, please contact our Family Support staff on 03455 211 300
