Description

The Association of Spina Bifida and Hidrocefalia of Puerto Rico, Inc. is a non-profit institution incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico in 1977 and had its beginnings in the town of Carolina.

The concern of a group of parents and professionals motivated them to create an Association where they could meet some of the needs of spina bifida and hydrocephalus. Due to the complexity of this condition, this group was given the task of providing participants with direct services to try to minimize the associated problems presented and thus achieve the greatest possible independence.

Mission:

Provide rehabilitation and educational services to patients and relatives, with the condition of Spina Bifida and other associated disorders, to achieve maximum functionality and independence and their integration into the community.
