Description

The International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (IF) invites you to attend and present your work during the upcoming 29th International Conference on Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Diverse Needs, Same Rights. Due to ongoing COVID measures in several countries this conference takes place in an online setting.

When? Monday September 5th to Friday September 9th, 2022 (Check your timezone here)

Conference Description

The conference covers different topics including Human Rights, Prevention, and Optimising Management and Care.

One of our main goals is to reduce the prevalence of neural tube defects and Hydrocephalus by primary prevention. Improving knowledge about primary prevention, mutual learning, and developing evidence-based programs are important aspects.

For persons with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (SBH) and their families, having access to multidisciplinary care is essential to achieve the highest possible standard of health across the lifespan.

Therefore during this conference, we together with YOU can strive for an inclusive society, where people with SBH and their families can enjoy all rights on an equal basis and access to all opportunities including education, employment, skills training, healthcare and other public services, and a full participation in society such as decision-making.

Conference Aim

The conference aims to bring together all academic scientists, researchers, and professionals to exchange and share their experiences, research results and best practices on all aspects of SBH. It also provides an interdisciplinary platform for presentation and discussion of the recent innovations, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions with the goal of improving the quality of life of people with SBH and their families, and to reducing the prevalence of neural tube defects.

Conference Participation

The conference is aimed at IF Members, partners, healthcare professionals, policy makers, early career researchers, and anyone who wants to actively engage in this knowledge sharing on the topic of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, Human Rights, Prevention, and Optimising Management and Care.
