Photo exhibition "Handicap: Multicultural??!"
The Belgium Platform Handicap and Development Cooperation (PHOS) has asked people with a disability from various social and cultural backgrounds to photograph their everyday lives. They brought all the images together in a photo exhibition called "Handicap: Multicultural??!". It turned out that there were more similarities than differences, regardless of background or beliefs. The participants all encountered similar hurdles and challenges. Independent living turned out to be a common goal. The exhibition shows how they try to achieve this and promotes more tolerance and inclusion. |
