Human Rights

Introduction

IF has increasing influence in international issues, which are likely to affect people with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus and their families and is cooperating with other NGOs to defend the rights of people with disabilities worldwide. IF president Pierre Mertens is a board member of the European Disability Forum (EDF).

IF focuses in particular on:

Human rights and inclusion of people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus
The rights of children with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus in developing countries
Prevention and issues related to bio-ethics and prenatal diagnosis

IF has issued the following resolutions, policy statement, position paper and report:
